A trip to New York & a Podcast!
My grandma has wanted me to go to Long Island, New York for a long time. She has been listening to an acoustic podcast published on iTunes by David Dircks for about 11 years called Acoustic Long Island and it moved to Deepwells Historical Mansion and is now called Live@Deepwells. We were actually going to go there last summer, but I went to LA instead to play at Whisky A Go-Go.
So the opportunity came around again this year (July 16) to play the 11th Annual Live@Deepwells Concert and we went. What a great place to play. Deepwells Historical Mansion in Saint James, New York.
The crowd was incredible (it even started to rain later) and they stayed for every act and every song! Now that is a great audience!
I had one fan who came with a portrait of me that she had drawn herself. I was so humbled and shocked that she would do that and bring it to me at the show! WOW!
It was great meeting the other artists and of course David Dircks who had invited me to come. I had an amazing time that I will never forget!
